TREK THE HIMALAYAS ( PART 1)

 Hey all,

How often we find ourselves reliving few memories and moments from our days of past ? I would like to share one of those memories today with you all and that is of my  travel expedition /trek that i had done few days back.

After a lot of asking around for company I decided that i shall do the trek with my sole mate as a companion and explore the wanderer kind of life ,and believe me we would always and forever look back on this trek.

We had selected TREK THE HIMALAYAS for our beautiful experience and they did a wonderful job by adding stars in our trek.

Trekking as such is not an easy task we need weeks and months of preprations for it. Our bodies should be well maintained and we should have been doing regular exercises. We were not a pro of those but were decent enough to try it on.

We had selected a winter trek because both of us had not had a experience in snow and it sounded so dreamy and perfect. We had selected our trek in Uttarakand state and the trek was of KEDARKANTHA .We did watch a few videos of the place we had selected and we were just in awe of the whole experience that we would soon be experiencing . Our thrill and excitement would increase every day and trust me when i say we were not let down one single moment . It was truly a magical thrilling adventurous exciting and a fun trek .

Our trek required us to be equiped with few essentials that are required for mountain life and we bought majority stuffs and rented few from TTH. we had selected our travel dates in mid of feb and that coincided with our anniversary which was falling on our summit day.

Trek starts from Dehradun and is for 6 days . We had met TTH in Dehradun and other trekkers on that day and we started for our wonderful journey . The travel time for our base camp was approx 8-9 hours and the route was so scenic and beautiful, it was filled with mountains and rivers all the way. We met our fellow trekkers and instantly made friends with them. The whole experience of trek was enriched with these amazing set of friends that we made on this route.

We reached our base camp Sankri its a small village on the foothills of the mountains with absolutely no coverage of networks . we started to experience a life without our gadgets and outer world. We were just a bundle of friends and ready to roll. Our guides gave us an excellent brief of what was expected out of us and all the pros and cons of travelling and trekking. We had great and brilliant trek leaders with us vijay bhaiya aka mallya bhai , deepak bhaiya and manu bhaiya. They were so down to earth people, not for a second they made us fell unwelcomed , we could disturb them at any given point of time and they were always there to check on us.

We had our introduction session and I was shocked when I came to know that 51 yr old was trekking with us for the first time all alone . I salute his willpower . We were sharing our experiences of our fitness and any previous treks if done . We made friends with Reena who was 49 and dont go by her at age at all she was one of the most experienced and enthusiastic trekker, she had such wonderful experiences which she shared with us  full time . We were alloted our rooms , were provided with a wonderful meal by TTH. Later in night we decided to explore a little bit of the village went to check out some local shops went to a cafe and enjoyed our time dancing and singing and then called it a night. And hey wait I forgot to mention , that we had selected a winter trek and so we had to be prepared to experience temperatures that would go really low  upto -10 degrees , the first day though we were comfortable and warm with our blankets and beds. End of day 1
